While major hostilities between Armenia and Azerbaijan ended in 1994, the disputed territory of Nagorno-Karabakh remains littered with landmines and unexploded ordinance (UXO) that poise a constant threat to many of those living in the region to this day. The UK based HALO Trust has been training local mine clearance teams since 2000 in an ongoing effort towards a mine free Karabakh.
